Why you should consider using a Travel Agent


  • A Travel Agent can save you money

    One of the common misconceptions is that booking a trip through a travel agent is more expensive than booking the trip yourself. This is absolutely false! The price you pay for a vacation package (especially a Disney Vacation), regardless of where or how it is booked, is the exact same price. The truth is you will likely pay less once we apply deals or discounts to your reservation that you might not have been aware of if you booked it yourself. We also will continue to monitor for any new discounts or deals and will immediately apply these to your trips, especially for Disney vacations when new discounts or deals are released. We are compensated directly from the vendors as a commission, not from our clients.

  • A Travel Agent can save you time

    Planning a trip can be complicated and time consuming. While some people may enjoy spending a lot of time planning every detail of their trips (we do), but we recognize not everybody does. We know planning the perfect trip takes a lot of time, prior knowledge, and at times can be highly complicated. This is especially true for most Disney vacations.

    We realize that most people can do this themselves, but the question is do you want to do this yourself, or would you rather have someone else do this for you at no cost? For Disney, there are a lot of moving parts that need to be considered beyond simply picking your dates and a hotel. Some of these include: How many days do we need to buy tickets for the parks? Which parks would work best for our family based on the ages of our children (if any) and our interests? Do we really need to add a park hopper to our tickets? What about the water parks? Do we want to add a dining plan to our package?

    These are all things a good travel agent with extensive knowledge and experience with Disney can be very helpful. We can provide you with the benefits and drawbacks of different options and let you decide what works best for your situation and family.

  • We have extensive knowledge of Disney Parks, Resorts, and Cruises

    At Lucky Travelers, we have extensive knowledge of all things Disney. We visit Walt Disney World on average about 40 days each year, have cruised with Disney for over 100 days while sailing on each of the four ships multiple times, and visit Disneyland as often as we can. On top of that we have completed all of the Disney College of Knowledge courses and exams, and re-certify each year! We can help you pick the perfect resort or cruise for your family and help you stay within your budget. Not only can we help you save money, we can offer you tips that help you maximize and customize your vacation.

  • Assistance with dining reservations and FastPass experiences
    We can help you get the dining reservations you want and book FastPass + experiences for you for your trip to Disney World. Many people choose to do this on their own, but we are available to assist you in booking reservations and FastPasses if needed. Also, if something you want is not available, we can keep trying on your behalf leading up to your trip.
  • One point of contact through the entire planning process

    When you book your vacation with Lucky Travelers, we will be your main contact throughout the entire planning process, and even during your trip. You can and should contact us with all of your questions and concerns. We will  then work with Disney on all the details, questions, and concerns you have. You will not need to contact Disney for anything, we take care of everything (unless you want to do some things yourself).

    If you book reservations directly through Disney, you may end up talking to a different Cast Member every time you call. You will not have the personal relationship you develop when you work directly with us as your travel agent. You will never need to explain something more than once when you have just one point of contact.

  • You have an emergency contact during your trip

    While no one plans or anticipates having an emergency during their vacation, it sometimes happens. When you book your travel through Lucky Travelers, you have someone on stand-by throughout your entire trip and vacation. All you have to do is get in touch with us and we will start working to assist you and your family. If you book your trip through other outlets such as Costco or Expedia they won’t be there to pick up the phone and help in the event of an emergency.

  • Why should I book through Lucky Travelers? Can I just do this myself?

    You can absolutely book everything by yourself, and if you enjoy spending a lot of time planning, researching, and potentially spending a lot of time on the internet or phone you should book it yourself. If you are looking for experts on Disney who can do all of this for you at no cost, and potentially save you money you should consider letting us take care of everything for you.

    We can take care of everything for you so that you have more time to spend enjoying your trip without all of the tedious work, or needing years of experience traveling.

  • What if I have already booked my trip? Can you still help?

    If you have booked directly with Disney in the past 30 days and have not paid in full, we can take over your reservation and help you with our free planning service. For other travel companies, it depends. Regardless we are still committed to help you get the most out of your trip, and would be happy to help you. Just get in touch with us. We will conduct an extensive review of your existing reservation and make any suggestions we might have to save you money or improve your itinerary. We will treat your existing reservation with the same care that we would any other booking made directly with us.
     

  • How is Lucky Travelers different from other travel agencies or planners?

    We don’t simply plan travel for others, we do it ourselves. In fact we do not plan or book any type of travel we have not done ourself. We feel that the only true way to help others with their travel is to have first hand knowledge and experience of each destination.   • How do I get started, or make a reservation?

    The best way to get started is to fill out one of our online information or quote forms, send us an email, or give us a call. Once we have a few details about what you are looking for we will start working on putting together your trip at the best possible price.

  • Do I have to talk to someone on the phone?

    You never have to talk to one of us on the phone if you don’t want to. In fact we are happy to do all of our communication and planning through email, or website, and our client portal. We are also happy to chat with you through Facebook messenger, text message, or whatever you prefer. Of course we are happy to talk to you on the phone as well, but it is never required unless you want to. We are not salespeople, we are planners!

  • If I fill out an information form or request a quote, will I get a sales pitch?

    Absolutely not. In fact neither of us are interested in sales. What we are good at is planning and travel. We will provide you with the information you request and you can then decide if you want to use us to help you plan your next trip. We want it to be a good fit for us as well as you.

  • What if we have problems after I have started our trip?

    Get in touch with us, and let us resolve the problem, or try to solve it for you. We do everything we can to make sure that all the details are taken care of before you leave, but we are still available should something unexpected occur once you have started your trip. We continue to work with you until you safely return from your trip!


Pricing, Payments, and Policies


  • What if the cost of my trip goes down after I book it with you?

    This is one of the best parts about using Lucky Travelers. We continue to monitor your reservations from the time it is made , until your trip starts. If any better deals or discounts are released for any of your reservations we will automatically rebook the reservation for you at the lower price. We will let you know every time this happens so you can stay on top of the pricing for your vacation.

  • How much does it cost to use us as your planner and agent?

    This is the best part, it costs you absolutely nothing. The price you pay for Disney or any trip you booked through us is the same you would pay doing everything yourself. Even with all of the help and extras you get from us it will still cost the same as if you did it yourself, or as is usually the case you will pay less using us. We make sure we apply the best deals or discounts to your reservation, and will continue to monitor all of the promotions even after we have booked your travel. If the price drops we will rebook you automatically at the lower price.

  • I am Annual Pass, Disney Credit Card, AAA Membership, etc. Can you still get me my discounts?

    >Absolutely! We have access and can book using all of the promoted and well-known discounts such as the Annual Passholder, Florida Resident, DVC, AAA, and other association discounts. We also at times are able to find and apply lesser known, and sometimes unpublished discounts to save you even more money. We will review all the details of your reservation and automatically apply any discounts for which you are eligible. Our goal is to make sure that you get the best possible price on your trip!

  • If we don’t pay you for your service, how do you get paid?

    We are paid a commission directly from traveler companies such as Disney. The pay us to plan your vacation for you.

  • How do I pay for my trip?

    All payments for your trip are made through our secure client portal, or over the phone if you prefer. We pay the travel companies directly on your behalf, and never directly charge your card directly. We will never charge you directly or hold on to your money. We will update you through the entire planning process when deposits and final payments are due.

  • Do I have to pay for everything up front?

    You certainly can if you want to, but most of the time you can simply put a deposit down on your trip. When we book your trip we will go over the payment schedule and due dates, and any payment requirements that are specific to your trip.

  • Cancellations and Refunds

    While we hope you never need to cancel a trip, we understand that things happen and circumstances change. All reservations we make are made directly with the travel companies, such as Disney, and all of their change and cancellation policies apply. We will work with you and the travel companies to minimize any costs and explain any options that are available in the event you need to cancel or change your reservation.

    Since we do not directly charge you anything for our services, there is never a cancellation fee or charge from us.
